The Chair of History of Pedagogy of the University of Messina organizes the Pedagogies of the Essential Review. Dialogues, reflections out loud, seminars and didactic workshops to face the time of the pandemic in a historical-educational and pedagogical way.
The pandemic forces to slow down the pace and face difficulties, imposing a re-thinking of habits and a re-organization of priorities. These changes, so unexpected and sudden, induce a careful reflection on the different “weight” that have the essential and the superfluous also to trace new educational paths.
Through the meetings of the Review we intend to reflect on the present time starting from the re-visitation of the “classics” of Pedagogy and Children’s Literature, the re-examination of achievements of significant educational value and a re-discovery of the national book, archival, photographic and artistic heritage.
The exhibition, sponsored by the Italian Society of Pedagogy (SIPED), the Italian Centre for Historical and Educational Research (CIRSE), the Society for Education Policy and History (SPES), the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento (provincial committee of Messina) and the National Group of Nurseries and Childhood, contributes prestigious scholars of Italian universities, as well as operators in the educational and humanitarian field, through dialogues, workshops, seminars and educational workshops, available free of charge through the Microsoft Teams platform.
The meetings of the Review, which will take place daily, starting from April 20th and for the whole month of May, are addressed to university students, professional educators, pedagogues and social workers, teachers (childhood, primary, first grade secondary, second grade secondary), adults, elderly people and families.
Participation in each of the scheduled events is free of charge.
A certificate will be issued to all participants.
To register you must send an email with your personal data, specifying which meeting/activity you wish to attend, to the address of the organizational secretariat: h.edu@unime.it.
Teachers, in order to obtain training credits, are required to formalize the registration also through the SOFIA ministerial platform.
